pH Balance

When PoolProof is added to water, it acts as a buffer solution which resists changes in pH when small quantities of an acid or an alkali are added to it. Since the pH change in pools is not dramatic, PoolProof can remove hydrogen ions or hydroxide ions that are introduced into the water that cause the pH to change.
